My thoughts and prayers are with the Watkins family.Karla R. I am so very sorry that I am unable to attend the memorial service and to say goodbye one last time. Jim kept track of my varied career and took particular interest when I moved to Oklahoma and later to London. Jim gave me advice on preparing for college and later on what classes to take. Ive known Jim all of my life and just as my uncles considered him a member of the Carnahan family, I too have always thought of Jim as one of my Uncles. During this particular get together Jim appointed himself the lead of a family induction ceremony replete with very colorful ceremonial robes. My favorite memory of Jim is from a family reunion held in Arkansas many years ago. A talented artist of whom I have always been in awe. It was impossible to be in a bad mood when around Jim. A playful man who took such delight making people laugh with his tall stories, memories of his growing up, and practical jokes. The ever present mischievous twinkle in his eye.
